Reducing and mitigating the impacts of Climate Change in our region.

Climate Action Programs: Encompasses any initiative aimed at addressing climate change.

Climate Resilience Programs: These programs focus on helping natural systems and communities adapt to the impacts of climate change (e.g., extreme weather, sea-level rise, altered precipitation patterns).

• Protect, sustainably manage, and restore natural or modified ecosystems

• Biodiversity conservation for climate resilience

• Wetland protection 

• Restoring wetlands for coastal protection

• Foreshore and dune vegetation restoration

• Community education about wetlands, forest, foreshore and dune protection from vehicle damage, over-tourism, litter and dumping, and weed encroachment

Climate Mitigation Programs: These initiatives aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through natural resource management practices, such as carbon sequestration in soils, seagrass, mangroves and forests.
