Indigenous perspectives

The Butchulla and Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) peoples are the custodians of the country on which Cooloola Coastcare works.

Indigenous science is communicated through storytelling, dance and art that is rooted in lore. It is difficult to separate or compartmentalise these elements separately as they are interwoven into a cohesive set of values, beliefs and practices that support a life of caring for country.
