One of the 17 species of Hibbertia found in s.e. Queensland. A small shrub which usually grows spreading out along the ground (procumbent), although can sometimes grow erect 15-100cm. tall. Mostly found growing in sandy heathlands and open Eucalypt forests. Produces small 5 lobed yellow circular flowers in winter to spring. The unusul characteristic of the flower is that the stamens are arranged symmetrically, all to one side of the centre of the flowers.
