Coordinator's Report

December 2006

Thank you to all the volunteers who have assisted in Coastcare sponsored projects and to the management committee who take on the responsibility of these positions.
In particular, the treasurer, Eduard Klaassen, who has managed the finances of some 12 separate grants this year. These funds help Coastcare achieve its goals of engaging the public in various on-ground projects, natural resource management education and awareness activities.

The Cooloola Coast Vegetation Mapping Project is currently underway and is looking for more volunteers to assist with field work on Thursdays.
So if Thursdays are free for you, why not wander along and see what it’s all about?

We still have about 50 Wallum Desk Calendars 2007 left at only $5 each. The calendars showcase Cooloola Coast flora and make a great Christmas gift, especially for international posting. Membership is only $10 should you wish to support Coastcare and its work, and you will receive a free calendar.
