Cooloola Coast Natural Resource Management and Education 2013-14

Cooloola Coastcare Association Inc has been allocated $6,655 inc GST from the Gympie Regional Council (GRC) Environment Levy, collected from Gympie Region rates.

These funds will go towards WORKING WITH THE COMMUNITY in weed and erosion management along Tin Can Bay foreshores & Cooloola Cove drainage lines, particularly where Coastcare has undertaken previous projects.

We are focussing our efforts on Coastal Wetlands, Waterways and Foreshores Community Awareness through flora and fauna surveys; and Resource Rehabilitation in partnership with Cooloola Cove Residents & Friends. Together we are working towards presenting Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) demonstration sites and best practice landscaping adjacent to natural areas.
