posted Nov 20, 2011 12:43 AM by Maree Prior
Cooloola Coastcare Assoc. Inc in partnership with Cooloola Cove Residents and Ratepayers and Gympie Regional Council, have been successful in their application to the Australian Govt. "Caring for our Country- Community Action Grant (CAG)" to rehabilitate agreed Cooloola Cove wetlands and waterways. Cooloola Cove Wetlands and Waterways are significant drainage pathways which flow from and through "Wallum" country in surrounding lands, including the Great Sandy National Park, through Cooloola Cove to the Tin Can Inlet- a marine National Park and Ramsar wetland area. They are an important part of the natural character of the area, providing habitat for several regionally and nationally significant flora and fauna species. Stay up to date with info to be posted on the "Projects" page.

Cooloola Coastcare Association is your local Natural Resource Management group, registered with Queensland Water and Land Carers (QWALC) and supported by Gympie Regional Council through your Environment Levy.
